  7. LEARNING OUTCOME At the end of this session the learner’s will be able to- • Define switch. • Explain the Triac switching circuit. • Classify the manual switch and automatic switch. • Use of automatic switch. • Change the switching Time.

  8. Development Area: • Function and operation of Triac Switching Circuit : • Triac is a bidirectional switching Device. • Its depend on Triggering Pulse. • When MT1 is +ve and MT2 is –ve with Positive Triggering Pulse Triac will be switched ON in forward direction. • When MT1 is -ve and MT2 is +ve with negative Triggering Pulse Triac will be switched ON in reverse direction • Illustrations are given in Figure- 1, 2,3 and 4( video ) in next pages.
