Notes • Don’t organize A, Q, X, and Y! • The elements will not form a perfect rectangle
Examples • Unstable oxides and chlorides are often in the same group as Ne • Melting points generally increase down groups • Look at the phases on the periodic table for hints • Same hydride/oxide/chloride and much different MP/IE means different groups
