Definition • A waterspout is a tornado over water.
Conditions • FairTornadic • Not caused by Basically a Thunderstorms. They tornado on water. Are weaker than a tornado. Forms from a thunderstorm. More violent than a fair waterspout. This type can move on land bringing the storm with it.
Time • Waterspouts typically last about 10 minutes. Can be 10-300 feet in diameter.
Damage • When they are in the water they really just damage ships. • If they travel onto land they can act like a tornado, and do destructive things
When It Occurs • Both mostly occur in the summer. • Caused by humidity and thunderstorms.
$$ Cost $$ • The cost varies. If it’s a bigger boat than it will be more expensive. If it’s a smaller boat it will be less.
