Review: What is a Verb Phrase? • A group of verbs that act as one VERB • Verb Phrase = Helping verb + Main Verb • Main verb – action or linking • Helping verbs- they "help" the main verb. • The main verb together with one or more helping verbs make up a verb phrase. • Example: • The students will read a non-fiction book.
