3. Introduction Such interesting things, special affects. Special affects can be anything from holograms to stunt doubles. A popular type of special effects is makeup. The makeup is used for making fake cuts or making people look pretty (also make up is sometimes used to make people look ugly). Stunt doubles are important for action movies. It is easy to use special affects if you know how to use them. Special affects can be useful for many things. The weather report and Hollywood movies are other things that special affects can be used in.

4. Green Screens Green screens can be used in everything from Hollywood movies to the weather report. These special affects items are easy to use. If you use a green screen, it is probably because you need to have a new background. How ever, the background is not able to be created. A new background is created to go in the scene where you used a green screen. These are called “back drops”. This green screen is getting ready to be used for a talk show.

5. Stunt doubles In movies, stunt doubles are people who are trained professionals. They are used when actors are not trained to do dangerous things in their movie. So, that is when stunt doubles must be brought in to take their place. The stunt doubles have to look some what like the actor their filling in for. Otherwise the audience will know some things up. Also, they have to be shot from a distance so you can’t see their face. A man standing next to his stunt double. As you can see they look some what a like.

6. Aging Affects Aging affects are used when things start out young in the movie then need to become old or older. For example, Diary of a Wimpy Kid. The aging affects in that movie were used on the cheese. They were just painted on the model. Another way of aging affects is used on people. Most people are familiar with it, it is called make up. The make up can be used to make wrinkles. This women is in a picture, where she is half old and half young.

7. Conclusion Special affects are very important for movies. From creating new backgrounds (green screens) to making people look old (aging affects). The fact is that there are many types of special affects. All special affects are very important. They must be used properly and they will turn out amazing, if you don’t use them properly they will turn out horrible.
