GB Niccolini School • San Giuliano Terme is a village with about 32.000 inhabitants, next to Pisa, 10 Kms from the seaside, 100 Kms from Florence • The weather is ideal during summer, usually cool during winters • Local trees and cultivation is commonly based on Olive tree, Mediterranean scrub and European pine tree • SGT lies at the foot of local hills where most of our herbs and trees samples were collected

Our Teachers:Daniele Vaccari • Currently teaching Italian Literature, History and Geography in our school • Deeply interested and involved in environmental issues, therefore strictly vegetarian • Loves biking and hiking, speaks Spanish as well • In this picture he’s practising to shoot The revenge of Indiana Jones XXIV

Our Teachers:Ignazio Gullotta • Currently teaching Italian Literature, History and Geography in our school • A real globetrotter, loves food in general (please notice where this picture was shot) and ADORES music • An old-time records collector • Hates: those who do not agree with him, English language in general, LIM boards • Supports: Juventus soccer team (ya know.. no-one is perfect!)

  4. Our Teachers:Cristina Palla • Our Maths and Natural Science teacher in our school • Loves animals, expecially Spugna • Hobby: Photography • She has been the major contributor to the he-rbarium of our Comenius Project

Our Teachers:Rosi Chiriacò • Teaching French in our school but speaks a good English as well • She has been the Responsible for our common Comenius Project • Hobbies: playing the fiddle, travelling and food (watching other people eat it) • At the moment she’s in Lyon, France, with other pupils from our school on another twin-schools programme

  6. Our Teachers:Marilena Barone • Teaching English and Italian in our Junior school in Asciano • Loves Nature, hiking and mountaneering • Hobbies: delivering home-laid eggs to her friends • Drives an electric car (when its battery doesn’t run down)

  7. Our Teachers:Luisella Mazzilli • Teaching English and Italian in our Junior school in Asciano • Loves suntanning and seaside in general; travelling • Hobbies: cooking & being on a diet, photographyHairdresser (going to the)

  8. Hates: the Absence of food Our Pupils: Caterina Guerra • Loves: Italian food (don't know about Swedish... gonna find it soon!) • Singing • Foreign languagues • Will Be: a Singer, what else? • Favourite Phrase: Ma caaaa voi? Tranqui!

  9. Will Be: a Maths teacher (please help her to renounce) Our Pupils: Arianna Ghelardi • Loves: food, gymnastics, kittens singing & dancing, Foreign languagues • Hates: … hate? What is that??? • Favourite phrase: ehmmm...scherzavo!

  10. Our Pupils: Asia Martellacci • Loves: driving teachers crazy together with her schoolfriends; volley-ball; sleeping, eating, surfing the Net • Hates: School in general (can anyone blame her??); • Will Be: probably a teacher (thanx to Murphy’s Law)

  11. Our Pupils: Eleonora Passaglia • Loves: puppies; volleyball, comics, eating, shopping • Hates: being wrong • Will Be: well... actually, she WAS

  12. Loves: friendship, travelling, volleyball,soccer, photography, mirrors (if pink) • Hates: Lazy People! Our Pupils: Maria Giulia Signorini • Will Be: very volcanic and happy! • Favourite Phrase: Nothing gets wasted, when done with love

  13. Loves: Fencing, fencing, fencing and fencing2; writing & reading Our Pupils: Virginia Puccini • Hates: people who hate others • Will be: an artistic fencer, the champion of the world, a novelist when she retires

  14. Our teachers: Antonio Cecchi • Gave up the idea of being an hardcore punk guitar player... • ... but maintained the same methods at schooling • Hobbies: climbing, biking, windsurfing... and un-schooling
