ZACUCE • Our mission: To build a Zarathushti cultural center that will bring the community together in a common place, give us a sense of belonging, and help us leave a legacy for the future. • Seriously evaluated 20+ properties • Currently have $245K in cash and additional $165K in outstanding pledges

  3. Recent Progress • Purchased land in Mt. Laurel in March 2010 for $225,000 • Building committee: Noshir Karanjia, Erach Patel, Tehmtan Tehsildar &Kersey Vakharia

  5. Architect Selection • Cyrus Rivetna Architects, Chicago, Ill. • Completed study of religious buildings of all faiths. • Spent 6 months in India and Iran studying architecture and layouts of all major Atash Behrams and Agiaries • Currently designing Darbe Mehrs in Dallas and Washington DC. • Cyrus has agreed to provide his consultation and designs at no costto ZACUCE.

Timeline • Initial meeting with architect Aug 2010 • Select engineering contractor Sept 2010 • Finalize schematic design Jan 2011 • Complete civil design and site plan Feb 2011 • Present plan to ZAPANJ members March 2011 • Submit plans for township approval April 2011 • Township review and approval Sept 2011 • Complete architectural and engineering design Dec 2011 • Building permits received Jan 2012 • Construction complete Nov 2012

Building Options • Build it all at once (7,600 sq. ft.) • Includes assembly hall, classrooms, dedicated prayer hall, atrium, kitchen, etc. • Phased approach: Assembly hall in Phase 1 • Dedicated prayer hall and classrooms added in Phase 2 • Phased approach: Classrooms and dedicated prayer hall in Phase 1 • Assembly hall added in Phase 2

  10. Estimated Option Costs • Build All At Once 7,600 sq. ft. $1.2M • Assembly Hall First Phase 1: 6,000 sq. ft $1.02M Phase 2: 1,600 sq. ft$320K $1.3M • Classrooms & Dedicated Prayer Hall First Phase 1: 4,600 sq. ft. $828K Phase 2: 3,000 sq. ft$600K $1.4M
