  3. Agricultural age Family rely on each other Business is agriculture Travel by foot, horse and face to face contact Education takes place in the home, limited print resources, based on life experience (Education Affiliates, 2008)

  4. Industrial Age (1700 A.D. – 1955 A.D.)

  5. Industrial age Nuclear Family Top down bureaucracies and factories in Business Transportation to include automobile, airplane, face to face Books, filmstrips, age groups and grades in Education (Education Affiliates, 2008)

  6. Information Age (1954 A.D. – Present)

  7. Information age One parent family; two working parent families Mobile workplace; flexible hours collaboration to meet goals Transportation involves decrease in face to face communication; cell phones; computers Education includes internet, digital communication, hyper-kids (Education Affiliates, 2008)

  8. Innovation Age ( Hasn’t begun)

  9. Innovation age One parent family; two working parent families Mobile workplace; flexible hours Computers dominate the workplace Education includes digital communication for children and adults
