  2. Background • Education: Park University, Associates Degree, Registered Nurse • Has worked at Claridge Court Nursing Home, Peds Office, Research Med, KU Med • Chose KU Med because it gives an opportunity to not only help those in need but also be a teacher to new nurses and aids

  3. Job Requirements • 40-50 hours per week • PACU Unit Coordinator • Charge unit • Make schedule • Payroll • Increasing demand for nurses • Scrubs and comfy shoes

  4. Rewards • Plenty of time to spend with kids • Being able to be in the RR and helping patients but being able to help all patients at once • Fulfilling a life long dream of becoming a nurse • Helping people live better lives • Having holidays and vacation time off

  5. Challenges • Being the unit coordinator involves being the boss of many people underneath. • The stress of being someone's boss and not being able to make mistakes without consequences • Long hours(walking/standing the whole time) • Death

  6. Miscellaneous • Schooling and all health care(even for kids) is free if you go to KU • Salary- $70,000
