  8. What do you already know? • The leisure industry can be divided into three main sectors: • Public • Private • Voluntary • What do you know about these?

Outcomes • Level 1 - Little or no reference to sectors/inter-relationships • Level 2 -Identify at least one of the main sectors and begins to identify inter-relationships • Level 3 - knowledge of all the sectors and detailed understanding of how they inter-relate to meet the needs of the leisure industry • Level 4 -knowledge of all the sectors and fuller understanding of how they inter-relate to meet the needs of the leisure industry

Sectors and partnerships within the leisure industry • You need to demonstrate knowledge of the three sectors • You need to explain how they interrelate to meet the needs of the leisure industry e.g. London Marathon, KC Stadium in Hull. You should also look into: • Public Private Partnerships • Private Finance Initiatives • Country Sports Partnerships } What are they? Why are leisure facilities involved? Give examples. Explain how they meet the needs of the leisure industry
