K People Project The project aimsto create anopen source software platformableto integrate withenterprisesystemstoimproveknowledgeworkers’ productivity, supporting the management ofdestructuredprocesses K People can easily: • Monitor processes and their performance in real time • Trigger events (eg. messaging, e-mail) • Identify process bottlenecks • Analyze the processes in order to max ex post forecasts • Suggest actions to be taken

K People – Plug-in for Outlook Through an integratedOutlook plug-in, the user can choose the e-mails to be developed by K People entering the data necessary to process the communication (eg. referral process, type of communication).
A request’s flow with K People • … hesendsanemailtohiscolleagueapplyingtagstoitthrough the K People plug-in • The server receives the e-mail and… • The HPM processes the data and makes them available to users involved in the process and to the performance monitoring system. • … it’s sent to the K People DB • The KnowledgeWorkerneeds a colleague’s support on a processhe’s workingon… • In case ofdelays K People sendsanalertto the colleague and urge himtoanswer • The Knowledgeworker’s requestissatisfied • The colleagueanswersto the requestdirectlyfrom K People or sendingan e-mail • The other people involved in the process can see through K People the progress of the process and the communication shared.
