  2. Background • Decision in 1999 to wire all hall rooms • Looked at commercial solutions

  3. Background • They would have been ISP • All wiring would have been done over one summer • Advisory support through year

  6. In-house solution • Job being done over three years • cost less than 2 years payment to typical commercial outfit • £75 charge per year for room paying off University ‘loan’ by 2005

  7. Where we are • Half rooms done by last autumn • 2/3rds will be done for academic year 2002/3
