3. Graph To display the network 1. Appearance To change the size and color of the network according to some values. 4. Context The context of the network. 5. Statistics Compute metrics on the network. 6. Filters To hide or display only part of the network. 2. Layout Changes how the network is spread on the screen. 1. Appearance To change the visual characteristics of nodes, edges, and labels according to some values. Example: Choose the attributes of degree to color and resize all nodes. When degree is higher, color of the node gets darker, and size of the node also gets bigger. To color / resize all nodes and edges uniformly. color of text color size size of text The attributes of nodes / edges. Create a custom curve or pick from built-in curves to change nodes size or color with linear or non-linear spline. Click “Apply” when the selection is done. 2. Layout The purpose of Layout Properties is to let you control the algorithm in order to make a readable representation. Select one of the layouts in the drop-down menu and apply it to see how the position of nodes is changed. Example: Choose “Force Atlas”, a home-brew layout of Gephi, which is made to spatialize Small-World networks. Click “Run” when the set is done. Click “Stop” to stop the algorithm. 2. Layout Set the “Repulsion strength” at 10000 to expand the graph, and remember to type “Enter”. Reference:http://www.clementlevallois.net/gephi/tuto/en/gephi_cheat%20sheets_en.pdf https://gephi.org/tutorials/gephi-tutorial-layouts.pdf
3. Graph To display the network.
3. Graph Select attributes to display as labels Edges have source node colors Color of character Show edges Show edges labels Thickness of character Thickness of edge Change the background color Size mode Font (select Chinese font to display when the label text is Chinese) Take a screenshot Color mode Show node labels
3. 4. Context Show the context of the network, including the number of nodes and edges and direction of the network.
5. Statistics To calculate a network/node/edge statistic, click the "Run" button.Once calculated, many measures will be available in the Data Laboratory – and can be used in the visualization. 6. Filters To hide or display only part of the network.Filters based on attributes, edges, operators and topology.Youcan apply a variety of filters to select specific nodes and/or edges from your network. . The filters are applied by dragging and dropping them onto the Queries window below. Click when the drag is done.
