Educational Iniatives • The Committee completed the rewrite of What Every Patient Needs to Know – Proudly written ‘for patients, by patients” • Available at http://store.unos.org/
Access to Educational Resources • The Committee expressed concern regarding the limited availability of OPTN/UNOS patient education resources • The Committee has worked with UNOS Communications to pilot a process called Print-on-Demand
Print-on-Demand Features • Centers can customize/localize materials with their logo and contact information • Large-quantity ordering available with volume pricing • Smaller-quantity orders continue to be available during the pilot
Print-on-Demand Resources • Pilot tentatively set to begin in April • What Every Patient Needs to Know booklet (English), • Living Donation brochures (English and Spanish) • If pilot is successful, additional materials and options will be added
