Let Me Ride • Third single from Dre’s Album “The Chronic.” (Nothin’ But a G Thang, Dre Day) • Album was released in 1992 and Let Me Ride was released in 1993 • Won Grammy Award for Best Rap Solo in 1994 • Sold over 3 million copies and went platinum • Let Me Ride is about hanging out with his friends and ridin’ down the streets in their ‘64 low-riders going to the parties.

California Love • California Love was released in 1995 and was a compilation of Tupac and Dre. • Song was taken from a combination of two songs entitled “Woman to Woman” and “West Coast Poplock.” • Nominated for a Grammy for Best Rap Performance for a Duo or Group in 1997. • More famous for being released on Tupac’s album but was originally intended fro Dre’s album “The Chronic II.” • This song is the first song Tupac is on after his release from jail. It is about the California lifestyle and gives love to the state and what they enjoy doing.

  3. I Need a Doctor • Second single released from the “Detox” Album. (Kush) • Released February 2011 and hit #4 on Billboard Hot 100 • Dre’s best releasing single of all time. Had 2.2 million copies by October 2011 • Eminem spent two hours recording his lines and initially the producer wanted Lady Gaga to sing the chorus instead of Skylar Grey. Dre and Em were adamant that Skylar was to sing. • Song is about the friendship of Dre and Eminem and how Dre “saved” Eminem’s life in the late 90s and now is returning the favor.
