A Gods Christianity developed out of Judaism in the 1st century C.E. It is founded on the life, teachings, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and those who follow him are called “Christians”. Traditional Christian beliefs include the beliefs that: -there is one true God, who is one being and exists as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (also called the Trinity) -Jesus is the divine and human Messiah sent to the save the world. Christianity is also noted for its emphasis on faith in Christ as the primary component of religion.
P Basic Beliefs There is one almighty God God sent his son Jesus Christ (also known as the Messiah) to earth to spread his teachings Jesus died on a cross for the sins of man and was placed in a tomb where he stayed for three days where after he rose from the dead and ascended into Heaven
P Religious Practices Following the 10 commandments Prayer before a meal and before sleep Celebration and honor of the birth of Jesus on December 25th Celebration and honor of the death of Christ and the resurrection of Christ on Easter, which is on the first Sunday after the first full moon of spring.

B Major Texts The Bible is the Holy Book Bible: Old Testament (the holy book of Judaism) and the New Testament, which includes the Gospels (depicting the life of Jesus)

Mostly spread throughout the Greek and Roman Empires Went all the way to Axum in Eastern Africa Paul went to Axum and converted the inhabitants whose rulers converted to Christianity improve relations with Mediterranean merchants. Christianity went to Asia as well but died off quickly due to the strongholds of Buddhism and Hinduism that were present there already.
