N3RR – Grounding – Results Since November 1994, one IC-781, IC-4KL, 5 Ring Rotors, One Hy-Gain rotor, 4 Packet Cluster Radios, 2 PCs, with all antennas hooked up. Only one failure due to elecrical shock: I left the ground wire off of a Ring Rotor controller durning a period of 1 week for maintenance and a nearby lightning strike burned out an internal Zener diode. NO OTHER FAILURES IN OVER 10 Years CONTINUOUSLY CONNECTED!
