  1. What is Kaleidoscope? Mission Statement: A forum to showcase the artistic abilities of Prairie Rose Students • Music • Art • Drama • Applied Arts

Art/Applied Arts • Numerous awards are given out based on audience choice and adjudication • Art “Best of Show” is professionally framed and housed at Prairie Rose Division Office • A variety of mediums and grade levels: drawing, painting, etching, and sculpture • A variety of technologies: photography, photoshop, iMovie, and Google Sketchup

  3. Drama and Dance • Monologues, one-acts, an excerpt from a larger production, mime, dance, etc. can be performed • Opportunity for representation of other school based performances

  4. Music • Adjudicated performances • Main stage presentations • Busking station • Master classes • Solos; large groups; concert bands and choirs; violin; piano; keyboard; percussion; vocalists

  5. Why get involved? • Excellent facility • Easy to participate • Good publicity for your school and students • Opportunity to see what’s happening at other schools in the district • Generates enthusiasm for the Arts • Educational opportunities; master classes • Provides a focus for Arts programming at your school • Sets a standard of excellence and opportunity for student recognition and awards

  6. More reasons to be involved • Kaleidoscope is free, with funds being raised through various donations and fundraising initiatives • Cookies are provided to attendees and participants thanks to E.B.H.S.’ Foods Classes • Strong board and central office support of the event
