  3. INSPIRE • INfrastructure of SPatial InfoRmation in Europe • European framework created by a european comission • Aims to realize a european Geodata Infrasturucture (GDI) • Sustainable environmental policy

INSPIRE Goals • Capture spatial data only once and manage it where it can be done in the most efficient way • Combine data from different sources all over Europe seamlessly • Provide data to suitable conditions to enable administrations to act efficient • Provide efficient search mechanisms for data to easily detect if the data is sufficient for the users needs

  5. INSPIRE Data • Described in Annex I,II and III • Annex I : e.g. boundaries, roads, railways, hydrography • Annex II: e.g. elevation models, topography, orthophotos • Annex III: e.g. buildings, geology, land use 2010 2013
