  2. The Manure Song The Farmers plants were dying, why he could not tell. If this goes on much longer he’ll have nothing left to sell. His wife she started crying, it really was quite tragic. They just had to find a cure, a little bit of magic.

  3. Chorus (Farmer’s voice) If you want your plants to grow how can you be sure... plant them in the soil, then sprinkle on manure. The manure it may not smell so good, in fact it’s pretty bad. But have no doubt; don’t be unsure your plants will grow like mad.

  4. Then one day to their surprise some plants began to grow... what could be the reason, they just had to know. So they did not go to bed on that starry night as they looked through the window, what an amazing sight.

  5. Working in the garden a friendly rat was busyrunning in between the plants, he made them feel quite dizzy. He sprinkled something on the ground; it did not take him long, and as he went about his work he sang this little song.

  7. That friendly rat has saved the day our plants they are the best... Oh I’ll build you a house I cried; my wife will knit a vest. Now we’ll live as neighbours and be the best of friends... so sing this chorus one more time for there our story ends.
