  2. Igneous Rocks! • The word igneous means from heat or fire. Igneous rocks form through crystallization of magma or molten lava . • Igneous Rocks are tested by streak test, texture ,and if you can see minerals. • Porphyritic, pegmatitic, and vesicular are all types of igneous rocks.

  3. Metamorphic Rocks! • Metamorphic rocks are rocks that have "morphed" into another kind of rock. • Metamorphic rocks are tested bystreak test, texture ,and if you can see minerals. • Limestone , sandstone ,and fine grained rocks are all types of metamorphic rocks .

Sedimentary Rocks! • For thousands, even millions of years, little pieces of our earth have been eroded--broken down and worn awayby wind and water. • Sedimentary rocks are tested bystreak test, texture ,and if you can see minerals. • Iron ore, coal, and shale rocks are all types of Sedimentary rocks.
