Corn is a good source of vitamin C, magnesium and phosphorus. • Vitamin C helps keep your immune system strong. • Magnesium plays a role in maintaining healthy bones and a healthy heart.

  25. Healthy Ways to Enjoy Sweet Corn Corn often gets a bad rap because it is higher in calories and carbohydrates than most vegetables; however, it is packed with fiber and many beneficial vitamins and minerals! The key to enjoying starchy vegetables like corn is moderation, portion control and smart recipes. Try seasoning a fresh ear of sweet corn with fresh-squeezed lime juice and black pepper instead of butter and salt. Pair sweet corn with a non-starchy vegetable, such as broccoli or green beans, instead of another carbohydrate-heavy side, like rice or pasta, at a meal. Limit your serving of sweet corn to ½ cup or 1 medium ear. Visit Fresh From Florida for more tasty recipes!
