Running with the Bulls Background • The running with the Bulls takes place each day of the Fiesta at 8:00 A.M. The length of the run is about half mile and usually last about three minutes—unless one or more of the bulls get loose. The six bulls selected can weigh more than 1,300 pounds and are bred for the purpose of fighting. They are smart, fast, and aggressive, and unpredictable. Since record-keeping began in 1924, 13 deaths and hundreds of serious injuries have resulted from the Running of the Bulls. • Question: Why might some people object to the Running of the Bulls?
