13. Pipeline Intervention Hot Tapping Hot Tapping (Under Pressure Drilling) is the method of making a connection to existing pressurised piping whilst the system remains on line. Also used as an access point for temporary isolation. Available from 1” to 70” at Pipeline Pressures of 1440 psi at 38oC and 700 psi at 370oC
