HIGH SCHOOL Activities/Athletics in HS Jobs I worked while in HS I was very busy in high school. I took 7am classes (before school began), for sports medicine and statistics; played / practiced / worked out for baseball from 2 - 5pm year round; was an athletic trainer for the girls basketball team and captained the school’s Academic Bowl team I mowed my neighbors’ lawns for $5 and umpired little league baseball. I worked at a machine shop, cleaning up scrap metal and polishing parts and machines, and tutored students in math and science classes.
HIGH SCHOOL Fondest memories from HS Obstacles/Adversity you had to overcome in HS Hanging out with my friends Playing baseball, practicing and traveling with my friends / teammates Getting good grades, being class valedictorian Most of my friends from middle school thought I was a “nerd”, so I had to make new friends in high school. As we got closer to college, kids realized that grades were important, and people knew that I was ahead of the curve and asked for my help.
College • I attended UCLA in Los Angeles (Westwood), CA My best friends and roommates my senior year Football game Yosemite
College Activities/Athletics in College Jobs I worked while in College I played a lot of intramural sports with my friends and dorm-mates – football, soccer, basketball. I also captained our dorm’s Academic Bowl team. Beginning senior year, I managed a 13-14 year-old Little League team in Santa Monica. I continued this for several years afterwards and also coached high school baseball. I worked for the Housing Administration office at UCLA for 3.5 years. I started off just filing papers, but ultimately helped all the full-time employees do their jobs, including billings, collectionsand accounting.
