SDSC Matrix Project • Grid Workflow • Workflow execution by the confluence of Grid Partners • A scientific pipeline is converted to multiple small workflows and executed simultaneously by the Grid Partners using the peer to peer Matrix workflow engines • Data Grid Language (DGL) • Workflow described using the Data Grid Language • Facilitates both context-based & control-based workflows • Allows meta-data, iterations (loops) • Dynamic Status Queries across the Grid • Matrix 3.0 (to be released) • Matrix Engine: Parser, Compiler and interpreter of DGL • Supported by NSF GriPhyN, NSF SCEC, NIH BIRN Grid projects • PPDG: Yet to investigate execution using Condor Pools National Partnership for Advanced Computational Infrastructure University of Florida
