Why are associations formed? Sometimes associations are formed to solve a problem. Sometimes associations are formed to spread a message.

Who joins associations and why? Girls join the Girl Scouts of America to learn about the world, make friends, and develop skills to enhance their lives. People join the United States Tennis Association to meet other tennis players, form teams, and teach other people about tennis.
Who joins associations and why? People at work join professional associations to learn, teach, advocate, and promote what they do for a living.
What does an association do? • Provide and explain information • Keep people in touch
