About Haas • Born on the March 2nd in Vienna, Austria, 1921 and died September 12th 1986 in New York • Famous for his innovative color photography • Acclaimed as one of the most important photographers of the 20th century • Was a member of the legendary Magnum Photo agency • He did a lot of work in the US and especially New York where he lived for a while • He Also did a lot of work in the advertising campaign for Marlboro Cigarettes
About Haas • Worked as a photographer and a photo journalist • His best photos include experimentations in abstract light and form • He also received a Hasselblad award in 1986, unfortunately he died one month before the event
