COGNITIVE DEVELOPMENT • Consider what we have covered in class and in the text about brain development, cognition, and disorders. • How have you used any or all of the following: • learning theory • understanding executive function • cognitive theories such as those of Vygotsky, Piaget, Krashen) • knowledge of learning differences in your students
SOCIAL/MORAL DEVELOPMENT • Consider what we have covered in class presentations and text reading. • How have you used any or all of the following: • understanding psychosocial stages (Erikson) • understanding moral development stages (Kohlberg) • distinguishing between justice and fairness • understanding issues of gender in development • understanding knowledge of cultural norms and expectations to gain insight into student behaviors
