European Affairs – Code of Conduct • The General Assembly of CLGE (+ GE) decided to produce a Code of Conduct for European Surveyors (CLGE General Assembly 29 February – 1 March 2008, Prague Czech Republic) and Member national liaison groups of surveyors associations were invited to submit their own codes; • Based on the codes provided and in the light of the guidance provided by the European Commission (EC, 2007), CLGE and GE (CTF-EU, 2008) and other sources of information (refer below), a draft Code was prepared in February 2009; • The draft Code was reviewed by CLGE/GE Working Group and revised in the light of comments made by the relevant working party in early March 2009;

  17. 11. European Affairs – Code of Conduct • The revised draft Code is presented to the national liaison groups for consultation in Krakow Today and comments requested. The consultation period will end on the 18th May 2009; • If needed there will be a CTF-EU meeting about the project; • A final draft Code will be produced based on the comments received from the national liaison groups, and this will be presented to the CLGE Executive Board and the GE General Assembly in Copenhagen in June 2009; and • The Code of Conduct will be presented for adoption in Rome in September 2009, in respect of the national legislation; • After Rome will follow a ratification period until GA Spring 2010 and Conference (Maximum 1 Year)
