Full Irish Breakfast This Irish Breakfast consists of: • two of Irish Style Sausages, • two Irish Style Bacon, • one Black Pudding and one White Pudding, • fried egg, • and a tomato.
Bacon and Cabbage Ingredients : • A 3-4 lb Loin of Bacon or Corned Beef Brisket • 2 Carrots • 1 Stick of celery • 1 Cabbage • A small pat of butter • Tablespoon each of honey and wholegrain mustard • Good pinch of ground cloves
Irish Stew Ingredients: 1/2 pound thickly sliced bacon,diced 6 pounds boneless LAMB shoulder cut into 2-inch pieces 1 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper 1/2 cup all purpose flour 2 cloves garlic,peeled and finely chopped 1 Large Yellow Onion peeled and finely chopped 1/2 cup water 4 cups Beef Stock -canned or home-made 2 teaspoons sugar 4 cups carrots-cut into 1 inch pieces-use large manly ones! 2 large yellow onions peeled and sliced 3 pounds potatoes peeled,quartered and cut into 1/2 inch pieces 1 teaspoon dried thyme,whole 1 bay leaf 1 cup dry white wine Garnish-chopped parsley
Apple Tart Ingredients: 1 cup self-rising flour1/4 cup sugar, white or brown3 big green sour apples, usually Granny Smith1 egg, lightly beaten2 ounces cold butter for the pastry1/4 cup milkpinch of salt1/2 teaspoon ground ginger1 tablespoon of butter for top of apples1/4 teaspoon cinnamon1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
Sherry Trifle Ingredients: • 1 Swiss Roll, Victoria Sponge or Trifle Sponges • 1 packet Strawberry or Raspberry Jelly • Strawberries or Raspberry (tinned, frozen or fresh) • 600ml (1 pint) Home-Made Custard, cooled • 150ml (¼ pint) Cream Sherry • Strawberry or Raspberry Jam • Toasted Flaked Almonds
