  3. Using Elluminate Tools: Audio Set-up Wizard Polling/Hand-up/Away Chat Using the Microphone

  4. Audio Set-up Wizard: Use this to control your volume

  5. Polling/Hands up/Leaving the Room

  6. Testing our polling: Did you write any Provincial Exams last week? Are you in Grade 11 this year? Have you ever used Elluminate before? Do you have a Facebook account? How is Elluminate working for you so far?

  7. Chat: Type here! Click send or press enter to post your message

  8. Testing your chat: Type a quick hello to the class. You can say hello in any APPROPRIATE way you like (e.g. bonjour, welcome, aloha, good day, etc).

  9. Using Audio: Click here to pick up and drop the microphone 

  10. Testing YOUR microphone: Everyone will take a turn picking up the microphone. If we have no volunteers, we will just go down the list  What you need to say: Your name, something cool you did in the first half of school year, and who you think would win in a competition: Batman or Spiderman?

  11. Using the Whiteboard:

  12. Testing the Whiteboard: Pick up a pen, pencil, highlighter, shape, text box, etc. and practice using the whiteboard. Trust us, it’s pretty fun 

  13. Your First Tutorial! Please watch the SCREEN CAPTURE TUTORIAL. Once you have watched it give us a green checkmark in the participants window 

  14. Time to try it out! Screen capture a picture of your favourite animal and be prepared to paste in on the whiteboard when called upon 

  15. Your Second Tutorial! Please watch the Moodle Scavenger Hunt Tutorial. Once you have watched it give us a green checkmark 

  16. Your First Assignment! Complete Assignment 1A: Moodle Scavenger Hunt. To access, click the link found in your course.

  17. Once you’ve completed and UPLOADED the Moodle Scavenger Hunt worksheet, give a green checkmark in Elluminate. You can then start posting to the discussions forums at the bottom of your Moodle course.

  18. So how tech-savvy are you? Complete the Tech-o-meter Survey. We will be using the results to form tech-teams that you will work in on future group assignments.
