CAOHC Certification • Awarded upon successful completion of this CAOHC-approved course • Recognized nationally as an important credential for occupational hearing testing • Ensures uniform standards of practice for your audiometric monitoring program • A CAOHC-certified student is an “COHC” • Recertification period is 5 years

What is CAOHC? • Certification body for OHCs and Course Directors (CDs) • 21,000 OHCs and 350 CDs • Not a professional society • Not a membership organization • Two representatives from each of 9 Component Professional Organizations • CPO representatives are volunteers • CAOHC Office located in Milwaukee, WI • www.caohc.org

What Does CAOHC Do? • Sets standards and approves OHC courses • Conducts training for Course Directors (CDs) • Certifies OHCs and CDs • Markets approved courses to OHCs • Ensures compliance and quality of OHC courses • Conducts training courses for hearing conservation program Professional Supervisors of the Audiometric Monitoring Program (audiologists and physicians) • Monitors and comments on pending hearing conservation legislation
