(EPC adds two digits {tot. 7 digits}to accommodate UCC12 & UCC13 format) 46165=item # (5 digits, remains the same) GTIN indicator digit (1), a defined by mfr., i.e. 2pk carton. In EPC, indicator moved to left of item#) Tag Data Structure user data=96 bits *at the (tag) device level, there are actually 128 bits of data for unique tag ID, check sum for comm. integrity, etc. References: EPCglobal tag data specs. WM RFID guidelines SGTIN sent to printer in serial format (hex or ASCII), printer/reader compiles to binary and writes to tag. Reading: binary to serial (hex/ASCII)
