  2. What is Digital English Language Laboratory (DELL) ? Language lab offers a variety of function such as recording, group discussion In addition to teaching basic grammar and vocabulary the digital way. We also make use of visual aids for display of English movies, thus making learning fun and enjoyable and also teaching practical utilization of the language.

  3. Inaugurated by Shri Kalpak T. Trivedi(Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Saurashtra University) Dated : 13th February, 2008

  4. Our Goals • The English language learning paradigm has undergone a complete modification in today’s scenario. The liberalization of the Indian economy has ushered in all kinds of reason to learn the English language. • The aim of fully computerized, modern Lab is to make students English proficient and therefore open up a whole new spectrum of job opportunities for the youth.

Since 2008 around 500 students have been beneficiaries of DELL Courses Courses offered by DELL • Building Vocabulary • Around 3000 Verbs with meanings & examples through multimedia • Basic English • Basic Grammar • Sentences Structure • Tenses • Spoken English • oral practice • Advance English

Society for Creation of opportunity through Proficiency in English The Society for Creation of Opportunity through Proficiency in English (SCOPE) has been setup by the Government of Gujarat to build English language proficiency in the youth of Gujarat and thereby provide employment opportunities for the youth.

  10. Courses offered by SCOPE • C2 (ALTE 5) • C1 (ALTE 4) • B2 (ALTE 3) • B1 (ALTE 2) • A2 (ALTE 1) • A1 (ALTE BREAKTHROUGH)

  11. Method and certification • SCOPE comprises of four skills Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing. • LSRW SKILLS is fundamental for learning any language. They are the four steps for acquisition of any language. Using this LSRW Skills one can master the mother tongue and for that all of us are the proofs. • The assessment partner in this programme is Cambridge ESOL. The Cambridge ESOL examinations are recognized by thousands of employers, universities & colleges, professional bodies and ministry & government organizations throughout the world. • They are linked to the Association of Language Testers in Europe (ALTE) levels

  13. Government of Gujarat awards students scholarship through Employment office . • Female students get 1500/- and male students get 1000/- after completing SCOPE Programme. In the year 2011 almost all the regular SCOPE students get the benefit of the scholarship.
