Solar Power Forecasting • As the demand for renewable energy has steadily increased around the world, new solar and wind power projects helped the EU produce more electricity from renewable sources in 2020 than from fossil fuels for the first time. • Renewables were the only type of energy that saw worldwide consumption increase at a pace in the double digits over the past ten years, with consumption increasing at an average annual rate of 13.7%. Finally, power modelling software is used to produce projections of the energy generation from a specific solar installation using correct estimations of the solar radiation availability.
