Goal: Phase out rubbish bins at MAC • We generate less rubbish: Minimisation • We are aware that rubbish is resource use and waste • We take responsibility • Our community reduces its waste too

Why? • We had 37 rubbish bins • It took 252 hours to deal with them • It costs $7800 to get them removed We still had litter!

How? • TAKE YOUR RUBBISH HOME • Avoid packaging in your lunchbox • Don’t litter! It’s that Simple!
Rewards • With the savings we will buy solar panels • Gotcha cards for • taking responsibility for their rubbish or • Showing your package free lunchbox to Team Green (Wednesday lunchtime in the library) • One of the first high school in NZ to go Rubbish-free
