  2. Sun Azimuth Readings

  3. Graph: Angle Degree vs. Date(from Sun Readings)

  4. Long-term Conclusions • As I looked at the changes in the Sun readings, I realized that as we are revolving around the Sun, We move closer and further away from it. This was displayed in the data that I collected. The data also shows that the closer winter comes, the less of an angle from the horizon the sun will be, because it is beginning to shine in the Southern Hemisphere at a more concentrated level.

  5. Overnight Physics Readings(11-9-2007)Partly Cloudy; 48 degrees

  6. Graph: Pleiades

  7. Pleiades Constellation

  8. Overnight Physic Project Readings cont.

  9. Graph: Cassiopeia

  10. Cassiopeia Constellation

  11. Physics Overnight Conclusion • The Physicsovernight was very fun, and we learned about how the constellations pass through the sky over the course of a night. When there was little cloud cover, we saw the movements that Cassiopeia, Pleiades, and Ursa Major had made. WE learned about the Earth’s rotation in space, and we saw how it affected what constellations we see in the sky.

  14. Long-term Constellation Readings Pleiades

  16. Long-term Constellation Conclusion • Observing the constellations on a regular basis was very interesting, and it also allowed me to see for myself how the rotation and axial tilt of the planet changes what constellations can be seen at night, and also where they are located. Looking at the constellations in the sky helps you to understand how infinite the universe truly is, and it shows the changes that Earth makes throughout the seasons.
