OF WYOMING WATER RESEARCH PROGRAM

  4. WWDO’S FINANCIAL RESOURCES WYOMING STATUTES PROVIDE A SEVERANCE TAX DISTRIBUTION ACCOUNT OF $155M PER YEAR. WATER DEVELOPMENT ACCOUNT NO. I (WDA-I) • FUNDS NEW DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS • RECEIVES 12.45% OF SEVERANCE TAX DISTRIBUTION ACCOUNT ($19,297,500) • ACCRUES INTEREST ON UNSPENT BALANCE • RECEIVES REVENUES FROM PROJECT LOANS • ESTIMATED ANNUAL REVENUES = $23.1M • CURRENT UNOBLIGATED BALANCE = $46M

II (WDA-II) • FUNDS REHABILITATION PROJECTS • RECEIVES 2.1% OF SEVERANCE TAX DISTRIBUTION ACCOUNT ($3,255,000) • ACCRUES INTEREST ON UNSPENT BALANCE • RECEIVES REVENUES FROM PROJECT LOANS • ESTIMATED ANNUAL REVENUES = $4.7M • CURRENT UNOBLIGATED BALANCE = $9M

III (WDA_III) • FUNDS DAM AND RESERVOIR PROJECTS • RECEIVES 0.5 % OF SEVERANCE TAX DISTRIBUTION ACCOUNT ($775,000) • ACCRUES INTEREST ON UNSPENT BALANCE • ESTIMATED ANNUAL REVENUES = $3M • HAS RECEIVED DIRECT APPROPRIATIONS • CURRENT UNOBLIGATED BALANCE = $57M
