The Beginningof Claude Montana Born on June 29, 1949 in Paris to a German mother and Spanish father At an early age, he moved to London and began his career by encrusting rhinestones into Jewelry (1971) He soon returned to Paris and designed leather for MacDouglas leather company where he learned his basic skills of pattern cutting, and grading(1972)

  3. The Rise of Montana In 1973, he designed his first ready-to-wear leather collection. His first fashion show took place in 1976 at Angelina's Tea Room in Paris. His own ready to wear company was founded in 1979, and two years later he presented his first collection for men, called Hommes Montana.
