  2. Biography • Born 1564 in Stardfort-upon-Avon • Mother wealthy • Went to grammar school • Lost Years (1578-1582) • Married 1582 Anne Hathaway – three children • Moved to London • Lost Years (1582-1592) – only four documents • Died April 23rd, 1616 in Stardfort-upon-Avon

  3. Career • At the age of 20 he wrote his first play • Often takes part in his own plays as an actor • Owner and builder of the famous Globe Theater in London • Is known for his linguistic talents in his plays („to hear a play“)
