Background • Densely populated: • 568,000 residents • 19 square miles • Population increases in daytime in Westminster: • workers • tourists • Huge variation: • wealth • culture • Specific issues: • Homeless population in Westminster • Prison population in H&F Westminster 217,000 resident 249,000 registered Hammersmith and Fulham 181,000 resident 188,000 registered Kensington and Chelsea 170,000 resident 189,000 registered

Demographics Ethnicity • Inner NW London has many residents from the ‘White Other’ and ‘Other’ BME groups • Some affluent and others more vulnerable • - America • - Australia • - Western European • Middle East/N Africa • Philippines/China The population in INWL is influenced by inward and outward migration Net movement out from around age 30 onwards, particularly families with young children. Huge working-age population More stable population in social housings

Summary • Generally, under 18 conception rates are higher in H&F and deprived wards in INWL • Abortions carried out when gestational age is less than 10 weeks is 80% of total abortions • INWL rate of GP-prescribed LARC is among the lowest in England • INWL prevalence rates of HIV/ AIDS is among the highest in England • INWL rate of warts, herpes, syphilis and other acute STIs are among the highest in England
