  2. What is Bug Club? • Whole school phonically based reading for all children to access at home • Reading for pleasure • Books regularly allocated for each child by class teacher • Reading can be tracked by teacher

  3. Children earn rewards through reading and build an online world • Prompts during reading encourage children to complete embedded activities – hotspots

  4. How Bug Club will be used: • Weekly allocations of books to be read at home • Used in Guided Reading sessions in school • Children will still take home hard copy books/reading diary
