  2. The Rules of Work are made in accordance to the Labour Ordinances of Hong Kong… Colleagues in China offices will basically adhere to the same provided there are no contradictions to the localRules and Regulations in China….

  4. 1. Office Hours Monday to Friday: 0900-1730 Saturday: 0900-1300 Lunch: 1245-1400 Alternative Saturday off Casual Wear* on Fridays * Unless otherwise informed. (No shorts and/or slippers please !) • Please ensure you arrive on time. If you think you are going to be late, please contact your division head or our front desk personnel; • Persistently late without valid reasons = Verbal warning This is unfair to your colleagues Situation is still not improved = your service might be terminated

  5. 2. Performance Appraisal • Appraisals are carried out at theend of 12 months, which form part of the consideration for salary increase • An appraisal is carried out at theend of the 3rd monthfornew employees. The appraisal will be delayed as if the probationary period to be extended….

Resignation and Termination • If a colleague wishes to resign, he/she should send an e-mail notice stating the desired last work day to the division head and make cc copy to the head of F&A i.e. Eric YAM and General Manager KY Ng • Failure to adhere to the above, resignation will not be accepted. • Misconduct will result in immediate termination and possible legal action against the individual. • No colleague, who has passed the probation, will be terminated, with less than 2 written warnings from the Corporate Division… unless due to misconduct

  7. 4. Five Day Working • 01 May 2006, Five Working Days a Week will be implemented. Yet, the office must remain adequately manned during 0900 till 1300 hours on Saturdays; • Colleagues who worked on Saturdays will takea 1/2 day off in lieuduring the weekwith the agreement of their Division Head.

  8. 5. Work Related Expenses • If you incur expenses on the company’s behalf, please claim it within 5 days

Business Travel Allowance • Reasonabletravel reimbursements are available if you have to carry out your duties outside the office; • All expenses relating to your business trip are covered by the company; • There is an extra allowance of HK$50 per evening for the duration of your trip; • In order to help our colleagues in F&A division, please claim your trip expenses within two days after returning to the office

Education Allowance • If you meet the following criteria, you could consider applying for an Education Allowance: (i) have been with the company for at least 3 months; (ii) the proposed course would support the staff’s ability in carrying out job duties; • Please obtain division head’s approval before applying.

Education Allowance • Please claim this allowance inJanuaryandSeptemberof each year • The maximum education allowance is calculated as follows: Annual Salary (including double-pay) x 3% = maximum allowance • No more than 1 course of study is encouraged at any one time for this purpose; • Copies of relevant certificate(s) obtained should be presented to the division head after the completion of the course.

Annual Leave • For annual leave purposes the year starts on the 1st January and ends 31st December; • The annual leave entitlement for all colleagues is 15 days per annum with Saturdays counting as 1 day (effective 1st May 2006). • If you have been with the company for less than 1 year, you can receive annual leave proportional to the period of your service of that year ( inclusive of the probation period ); A maximum of 7 days of annual leave can be carried forward to the following year; Annual leave can be taken throughout the year; • Please fill in your planned annual leave dates in advance via the intranet; Colleagues leave applications need to be approved by division head. Yet division heads have no need got any approval. • As your colleagues in the division will be performing your duties during your leave, do please hand-over all on-going work properly before going on leave.

  13. 9. Jury Leave With supporting documents jury leave is considered as paid leave

  14. 10. Special Occasions and Bereavements • Compassionate Leave (paid) are provided for:  1. Your wedding7 days 2. Birth of a new baby (male staff only) 2 days 3. Your child’s or your sibling’s wedding 2 days or graduation 4. Death of your spouse, child, parent, 3 days parent-in-law, grandparent or sibling • If additional leave is required under these circumstances, please discuss with your division head.

Sick Leave • If you are sick and unable to come to the office, please tell your division headorfront desk personnel; • Remember to bring your supporting medical document when you come back; • If you are unable to come to work formore than 4 days, you will only be paid 80%of normal salary provided your absence is supported by medical documentation • If you have to undergodental treatment involving anaesthesia ( e.g. cavity filling, tooth extraction )you would be entitled to 1 day’s sick leave.

  16. 12. Maternity Leave Statutory maternity leave is available after 26 weeks of employment

  17. 13. Typhoon and Bad Weather • Travel Allowances could be applicable if public transports are disrupted during this time; • If you wish to remain in the office please ask for permission from your division head;

  18. 14. Other Benefits Yearend Double Pay, Medical Insurance, Labour Insurance, MPF etc.

  19. 15. Employee’s Retirement • Retirement age for the company is: (i) Male staffOn reaching 55 years old (ii) Female staff On reaching 55 years old • If the employee has already reached the retirement age when contracted, the length of service will be as agreed on the contract.

  20. 16. Computer Operations • Since computer equipment is shared in the office, please be careful and conservative when installing new software. Onlylicensed copiesarepermitted; • Please beextra alertregardingjunk mailsagainst computer viruses. If you arenot surewhere it came from, don’t open it; • Freewaredownloadsare not allowed in the Office since these are often used to spread computer viruses; • Do not browse and look at and/or download any material from inappropriate, indecent, adult and/or illegal websiteswhen you are online in the office. • Please avoid using your computer and/or MP3/radio to listentomusic during office hours.

Computer Operations • Please update your anti-viruses software and scan your computer regularly; • Please also update your windows and backup your data regularly; • In order to reduce papers in the office staff should follow : • Good use of ‘Folders’ to organise documents: • Delete any unwanted documents; • Have a ‘shared folder’ which other colleagues can access via the office LAN; • Be alert with unwanted data, ask for help if you are not sure;

  22. 17. Additional Information • Please make sure your own personal file in the Intranet is up to date; • Company’s information & documents are properties belonging to the company. Leaking information purposefully to people outside = Termination of contract + Legal action against the individual; • Disclosure of company information to an outsider is only permitted with prior permission of the General Manager; • Certain Benefits are only applicable after the probation period; • If colleague resigns, year end double pay is consideredforfeited;
