Ron Eakes who is the owner of Mid Plains Construction Plains KS was born in the western part of Kansas, which is also recognized as Sunflower State or Wheat State of the country. He lived at a farm house along with his ten other siblings. He studied at the South Western Heights School, Kansas for his early education and graduated from the school in 1977. Later, he joined Dodge City Community College for a degree program.
It is a public and a co-educational college situated at Dodge City and was established in 1935. It is abbreviated as DCCC or DC3 and its students participate in an assortment of sports activities. The college offers associate degrees in applied science, nursing, arts, and other educational streams. The athletics team of the college is popular and called as Conqs. The official mascot of the college is the Conquistador. Ron also pursued Dale Carnegie Course for personal grooming and inculcating public speaking, salesmanship, and leadership skills.
In 1979, he came up with his own construction company called Mid Plains Construction Plains KS, which is counted amongst the most successful construction companies in Kansas nowadays. He has 70 employees who work under his able guidance. Apart from being the successful owner of the company, he also owns three ready mix plants and has a partnership in two large scale dairies.
Ron Eakes has also involved himself in many local charities and community organizations. Some of these organizations and charities include American Cancer Society, Kansas peace officers, Save the Children, Children’s Miracle Network, Knights of Columbus, Special Olympics, County Economic Organization, and the Church Council. He has also contributed towards local school board and Lion's club.
