Krzysztof Warzycha played for the Polish team KS Ruch Chorzów and won the Polish Championship in 1989.He was the top scorer in the Polish premier league the same year. He also played 50 times for the Polish national team, scoring 9 goals.
Krzysztof Warzycha joined Panathinaikos in December 1989 and won 5 Greek championships, 5 Greek cups, 2 Greek super cups, while he was the first scorer of the Greek championship 3 times. He is Panathinaikos' all-time leading goal scorer (the highest in the history of Greek football) and an idol for the club.
He retired in 2004. After his playing days were over, he coached a number of Greek clubs. He was granted the Greek citizenship in 1998. Krzysztof Warzycha entered the heart of the Greek fans, not only for his scoring abilities, but also for his ethos as a footballer and as a man.
