Good evening everyone! I hope everyone is doing well at this year‘s back to school night. Let me have a brief self-introduction first. My name is Alice Lin and Iwas born and raised in Taiwan. CHINESE 4 /AP/IBCourse Description • AP Chinese/Chinese IB SL course reinforces and refines the skills learned during the previous years of Chinese study and uses the new input in the textbook and supplementary materials to further develop students’ speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. The course is conducted in almost exclusively Mandarin Chinese and the students are required to speak in Chinese as much as possible. The AP/IB SL course is designed to provide high school students with the opportunity to study Chinese language thoroughly enough to perform successfully on AP Test/ IB SL Exam, enabling them to earn college credit.
Expand their knowledge and understanding of Chinese culture through reading articles and authentic materials, such as advertisements, signs, newspapers, and internet materials. Also, through discussions, activities, music, art, computer programs, movies, and more.
