About the cabbage patch • The Cabbage Patch Settlement House is a non-profit Christian organization. • Mission: equip and empower at-risk children, youth, and their families, to be self-sufficient by helping them maximize their economic, educational, emotional, moral, physical, social, and spiritual potential. • Programs & Services: Recreation (focuses on teamwork, commitment, discipline, & sportsmanship – anything from outdoor recreation to arts & crafts), Education, & Counseling and Family services (individual youth behavioral counseling, family & marriage counseling, group support programs, etc.)

  4. Schedule • Monday, March 24th – Friday March 28th • 1:00 – 7:00 P.M • They will assign different volunteer projects every day – details to come.

  5. What to bring • Closed toed shoes • Your own sleeping bags and/or pillows • Dress appropriately

  6. HOUSING • As of now, Hotel Louisville. • Not confirmed • If so, they will offer us a room where you can all sleep in with sleeping bags (deal they usually offer mission trips) • This slide will be updated later this week.

  7. Free time • Kentucky Derby Museum • Open 9:00 A.M – 5:00 P.M Monday- Saturday; tickets $14/person • Louisville Zoo • Open 10:00 A.M – 4:00 P.M every day; tickets $15.95/person • Louisville Waterfront Park • “Dangerously high levels of Oxygen”; 6:00 A.M – 11:00 P.M every day; 85 acres of land – on the sides of Ohio River
