Cleft Palates • Affects 5,000 infants a year in the U.S. • Opening or split in the upper lip, the roof of mouth or both. • Fusion never took place in womb.
Facial Burns • Burns can be caused from anything: flames, electrical, steam, chemicals, etc. • Burns are debilitating injuries. • Tight masklike sensation, distorting features and limiting facial expressions.
Hemangiomas • Collection of abnormal vessels below skin’s surface. • Typically not present at birth. • Blistery masses of any shape or size. • Dangerous around nose, mouth or chin.
