Manipulating sound using Audacity Change the speed or tempo of a track Highlight the required track. Go to ‘Effect’ and select ‘Change Speed’ or ‘Change Tempo’. Click and drag the slider to the appropriate position. Use the ‘Preview’ tool to listen to a preview of the result. Click ‘OK’ or change as required.
